Can I take the course even if I am not affiliated with a school?

Answer: Yes, just put “independent’ on the line for ‘Name of School.’

Must I attend all three days?

Answer: Yes, you must complete all three days. We cannot make any exceptions. You can never miss Day 1 of the course. If you miss day 2 or day 3 or even both of them, you can make them up the next time the course is offered with a make up fee of $50 per day missed.

I have completed Course 1. How do I get my Provisional Teaching License?

Answer: Contact the Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision (a division of the New York State Education Department) at 518-474-3969 and ask for teacher licensing or go to www.acces.nysed.gov/bpss click on Career Schools, then on Teacher License.

I have completed all three required courses. How do I get my Full Teaching License?
